For
23 years we’ve
been bringing the best in Pagan music to FSG. Bands that play
songs celebrating the Gods, our Mother Earth or tie into the
tribal rhythms
that have pulsed for thousands of years.
This
year's acts will be Kiva, TELESMA and the Indra Lazul Bellydancers
and Kellianna to perform at FSG this year. If you would like
to come to the event just to see a concert, you can do so by
arriving between 6pm and 8pm on the day of the concert and purchasing
a Concert Pass for $25. This pass is good until the end of the
concert, at which time you will be expected to leave the grounds.
There is no pre-purchase of Concert Passes, and you must pay
in cash for your pass.
KIVA is a percussive, acoustic, worldbeat ensemble that celebrates
the magic of nature and ancient bardic traditions with music that
opens the heart and heals the spirit. The band blends strong vocal
harmonies with rich and diverse acoustic and electric instrumentation,
performing originals, traditionals, and covers. The musicians are
inspired by many cultures, spiritual disciplines, and musical styles,
including celtic-folk, folk-rock, blues, big band, traditional
chants, and jazz. KIVA is based in the Washington DC metro area,
and has been nominated fourteen times (so far) for the Washington
Area Music (Wammie) Award.
Kellianna is an accomplished musician and performer worldwide.
Her CD's Lady Moon and I Walk with the Goddess, are being recognized
around the globe as a must have for any lover of Goddess inspired
folk music. Her live shows are a combination of acoustic guitar
songs and chants to the God and Goddess. She is a certified teacher
of SpiritSong, a powerful tool for freeing your voice, for accessing
the authentic sound that is you, and for entering into Spirit.
Kellianna was trained by Shawna Carol in facilitating this unique
approach to spiritual growth. Kellianna facillitates chant circles
at festivals and shops all over the states She is a collector of
chants and takes great joy in sharing these chants in her circles.
She is experienced in the art of ritual chant, and uses the song
to move energy, to celebrate the ancient mysteries, and to strengthen
intention.
TELESMA
and the Indra Lazul Bellydancers: Blending ancient and modern
instrumentation and spirit, the Baltimore-based group Telesma
bridges the gap between primal and futuristic. Setting themselves
apart with their intoxicating sound and extraordinary live performances,
they take the audience on a soul inspiring journey that transcends
this world, tantalizes the senses, and moves the body with waves
of pulsating rhythm. “To experience Telesma live is to become
part of the show. More than just music, it’s a swirling,
whirling, twirling event…it’s extremely hard not to
become involved in the swaying, hypnotic rhythms that pour forth
from the stage.” Michael Macey of the Chesapeake Music Guide.
