Children
are an important part of the Free Spirit Community. To help
our children and teens feel more a part of the gathering, we
offer
a track of programming that's geared specifically to their
needs.
For
younger children, we have a special kids programming area set
up with
a schedule of workshops and activities designed so parents
can participate
with their children. Activities range from crafts to nature walks
to ghost stories.
And
don't forget the centerpiece of our kids' programming, the Amber
Rose School of Wizardry and Witchcraft! Always popular, and
with good reason, this track is offered by the wonderful Circle
of Amber Rose.
Teenagers also
get their own area at FSG. The teen pavilion has become a popular
place for the kids to hang out and play games, listen to music
and socialize. In addition to the pavilion we offer movies and
workshops that are of interest to the younger crowd.
Childcare &
Babysitting
Over
the past few years we have received several requests for Festival
sponsored childcare and/or babysitting services. Liability issues
prevent the festival staff from offering these types of services.
However, we would be happy to facilitate discussions among parents
for this purpose. Please contact the Registrar with
any requests.
If
you are a teen who would be interested in offering babysitting
at festival (or know of one), please feel free to contact the
registrar to be put in touch with any parents who might be looking
for this kind of service. Free Spirit Alliance cannot be held
responsible in any way for any issues arising from these contacts
or arrangements.
